While CC's away...

Carter is at that age where he is getting into everything!! He has discovered how to open drawers and closet, and make a huge mess. He loves to go in CC's room, and play with her toys while she's not there. I snapped these pictures as I caught him snuggling the princesses. (its the pictures on the pillow... he thinks they are real... and that they are snuggling!!) And yes, that is CC's panties in his hand, he also figured out how to open her panty drawer....

La Cantera Yardhouse

Mark's new store in San Antonio at the La Cantera Shopping Center. Its a remarkable site, with Six Flags visible from the parking lot and Sea World five miles down the 1604 loop. It truely is one of the nicest malls either one of us had ever seen. We can't wait to get there and start eating and shopping!!

San Antonio

Well it is official. Mark has been offered the position as General Manager of another brand new store, in San Antonio. We will once again be moving, to Texas the begining of August. We were so lucky to spend five days in San Antonio getting familiar with the area. And when I say familiar, it means we spent five days driving up and down every street looking for houses and preschools. We did however get a night to explore the River Walk and the Alamo. We even got to meet up with Mark's long time friend Brian Phipps. He and his family just moved about two hours away from where we will be living. We can't wait to have them over for BBQ's and playdates.

The picture below is the only picture we took that was not house or school related. It's Mark and I at the Alamo in San Antonio.

CT's first haircut

We took Carter to the kids hair place Sharkeys for his very first haircut. The back and front were getting really long, so we finally gave in and got it cut. The place did an awesome job. We have been to a place like this before, but girls cuts are so much easier. The lady was amazing, she just kept circling around Carter in his little rocket ship. It was over before we knew it. Good thing because Carter was so wiggly. He actually fell under the steering wheel a few times. I'm so glad we got it cut, he looks so cute! Now he has little spikies like his daddy!

Flashback Friday

Since we were gone this friday I thought I'd post this now. These pictures crack me up...
These pictures were taking at our house in KC when Carter was 4 months old.

AND then these were taking in May, so Carter was almost 10 months. Can you say MOOSE??

Longest Post Ever

I got my wisdom teeth out on Thursday, and thought I would have much more time to catch up on my blogging. But, nope. So this might be the longest post ever, because there is so much stuff I wanted to catch up on.

CC's Summer Birthday Party at St. Jeanne's. I am so glad that CC's teacher suggested we do this. Camden had so much fun celebrating her birthday with all her friends at school. Having a birthday in July, I know how much of a bummer it is when you don't get to celebrate with your school friends. So this year, she gets to have her cake and eat it too! Well cupcakes...

Camden has been dying to take Carter for a ride in her pink car!! The seat belts aren't very secure, so until he gets a little bigger, we've been letting CC drive with Carter in the garage. But poor CC, must have inherited the bad driving gene, because Carter hated it! He started off a little hesitant....
... and then wanted off, bad!!

Doughnuts with Dads

Since Father's Day is celebrated after CC's preschool is already on summer break, they invited all the Dad for doughnuts for an early celebration. Camden was so excited to show off her Dad to all her friends at school. Poor Mark was exhausted from closing the night before, and doughnuts at 8, but here's a picture I snapped before they left.
Teething like a mad-man. Carter now has 8 teeth!! 6 of which have fully broke through, with two others just barely showing. It's so funny because at this time with CC, she still only had two bottom teeth! I guess he can start eating more solid foods.

This week I bought tickets for CC's first dance recital. I am getting so excited! I've been waiting for this all year, and can't believe it's almost here. Yesterday at CC's class they tried on their costumes, and they are so darn cute. It comes complete with gloves, socks, and a bow. too cute. This was taken outside the studio....

then when we got home we had to try it all on. I have no idea how I'm going to keep her out of this for a month.
ok... that's it for now.

Flashback Friday

These pictures are from our move to Kansas in March 06. We just randomly stopped at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, and Mark was so excited to find out it was a Knute Rockne Memorial. It was by far the worst road trip we have ever taken, and two of the few pictures we took the entire time. I will never forget this starflower porch rocker. Camden was 6 months old, and sooo glad to be out of the car!! I think this was hour 20 into our 24 hour drive, which ended up taking 5 days!!

CC says:

Thunder has been quite the talk of our house today. It was the first thunderstorm, rain for that matter, since we moved back to CA. There was actually some hail!! Kind of made me feel like we were back in Kansas.

But anyways, Carter and CC were playing together by the sliding door and a huge thunder hit. CC leans over, hugs Carter and says, "Don't worry Carter... it's just Jesus playing bowling ball." So cute.

And later tonight, while CC and Carter were in the bath CC lets out a little "toot toot." And when I say little, I'm being nice, there are no little "toot toots" from CC.
So then I asked, " CC did you toot toot?"
And CC says, "No Mommy!" (with a little bit of how dare you, and a HUGE smile) "It was just the thunder... didn't you hear it? It's really loud today." She's hilarious.

New Poll

Just found out that I can add a poll to my blog. Since it's the question that is on our mind 24/7, thought I'd poll and see what everyone else thought. Take a look at the right column, and cast your vote :)
