Flashback Friday

CC has become obsessed with babies. She has always loved babies!! I mean why wouldn't she? She has almost seen more born in her little life, than I have. She has always been very loving and nurturing. I remember how excited she was when we brought Carter home. She could barely contain herself. She constantly wanted to hold him, kiss him, and read to him. I kept thinking to myself she was so little, and there was no way I was going to let her hold this newborn. BUT, she did get her way a few times, and I'm glad I snapped some pictures.
Carter is under two weeks old in all of these pictures.

Our last San Antonio Trip

We management to squeeze in one more quick trip to San Antonio before we moved, and boy am I glad we did. We found an amazing house, in the community we wanted with everything we need. We are renting a house in the Wild horse community in San Antonio. It is 6 miles to Mark's work, 5 of which are freeway. It is 3 miles to Sea World, 20 miles to Schliterbauns, and 6 miles to Six Flags. So much stuff to do in a 10 mile radius, its crazy.

I didn't take too many pictures because the tenants were in the process of moving, but it's perfect. AND, it will look much nicer when our stuff is in. Its 2500 square feet. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a loft for a playroom. I am so excited to have a two story house again, it makes the house feel so much bigger. Best part is two sets of stairs leading to the top floor, one by the kitchen and one by the living room. It's everything we could have asked for. CC will be happy to know that her bedroom is almost as big as ours, but what do you expect when you're a princess? The community is a very cool western feel with two community pools, a park, basketball courts and lots of walking trails. The pool in Wild horse actually has the same mushroom fountain as our house in Kansas City, which made the pool a million times better. A zero entry for little kids to crawl around and play in the water. We can't wait to get there and try out the pool.

We also found CC a preschool that we love. Northwest Hills School. It starts at preschool and goes until 5th grade. Its a full day program so CC will be exhausted by the time she gets home, but will have so much more time to learn. There are 51 Pre-K 4 year old, so CC will have plenty of little play friends. They have religion, reading, phonics, music, arts and craft, Spanish, motor skills, and chapel. She will be there from 8:30 -3PM, Monday- Friday. We sure will miss her, but it will be such a good learning experience. I didn't take any pictures of the school, but once it starts I'm sure I will. School starts August 24th Which is perfect, we have ten days to move all our stuff in and CC can go to school on her birthday!!

We were also so thrilled to find out they had just opened a new YMCA only a few miles down the road. The YMCA is so awesome, it give the kids a nice place to play while Mark and I can work out. They kids play place is unlike anything I have ever seen. It has a huge treeshouse that kids can climb up and slide down.

AND it has one of the coolest splash park. It has water guns, fountains, and an Olympic sized pool with slides. We thought the one in KC was cool, but this one has it beat!

And we even had some time to relax. We got all of our housing hunting, and preschool searching done early enough to spend a whole day by the pool and got to watch the All Star Game.

Flashback Friday

Yesterday Mark and I were discussing sleep, and how Mark is soooo"sleep deprived. " For the record, he got 9 hours of sleep last night, and 10 the night before. And I mean straight through, uninterrupted sleep. I think he'll survive. But anyways, when we were talking about sleep it reminded me of these pictures of CC and Mark sleeping on our bed in Huntington Beach. CC was only four weeks old! Don't they both look so sweet and peaceful?

Fourth of July

The Fourth Of July was really fun this year. We went to the Ronald Reagan Sports Park in Temecula They had a ton of bouncers and slides, that CC loved. She probably went down the slide 12 times. Then we had hot dogs and snow cones. The kids loved the snow cones!! We only bought one, and there was no fighting! CC actually wanted to feed Carter. Carter was a little shocked at how cold it was at first, then he couldn't get enough. Mark was suppose to get off at 10, but surprised us and was home by 8:30, which was the perfect time to pack the kids up and go watch fireworks. Both kids were super sleepy, and Carter had only had one nap, so we were really hoping it went well. And it did. Besides the mini-melt down CC had in the car, everything else went perfect. Carter actually fell asleep towards the end, and CC wanted more. Then we headed home to watch the ending of the Boston Pops, my favorite fireworks show!!! Hope everyone had a terrific 4th!!

CC on the bouncer slideCC took this picture of Carter and Me. She is getting really good, we were in the middle!! The best I will ever get with two kids, hey atleast you can see their faces.

FB Friday

OK for flashback Friday I couldn't resist this picture. This is ME in the summer of 1986, with my Grandpa Paul. I was just about 4, putting me at the exact same age as CC. I'm guessing this is at the family picnic, which could have been on my birthday. I LOVE this picture. It reminds me of the summers we spent in Michigan!! With Brittany's wedding, I will once again be missing the family reunion. Three years ago Mark went to his first LevandowskiFamily Reunion, and we swore we'd go to every one since. Umm... that was three years ago, and last year we didn't go because Carter was 3 days old, and this year we're going to Cabo... maybe next year?
